Wet n Wild Limited Edition Fauna Collection

Happy Saturday everyone! Today I went to CVS and just could not pass up this new limited edition collection from Wet N Wild! This particular set is called Fauna but they also had another set called Flora. The Flora had brighter colors in it, including an orange eye shadow. It was pretty, but I decided this one was more me. The set includes a limited edtion eye shadow trio called Fauna, along with a blush, glassy gloss lip gloss, and fast dry nail polish. All of this was only $4.99!! You can't beat that considering normally one of their eye trios are regularly 2.99.

Here's what the kit set looks like in the box. On the back it says: "Enter our lush gardens of beauty, fantasy, and desire. You'll be enveloped in a bouquet of flourishing colors that evoke Spring's infinite possibilities. In our wild, untamed world of Fauna, the femme fatale is freed to seduce with her rose-thorn cheeks, dark bold eyes, poisonous petal lips, and mysteriously colored nails."

The colors on these eye shadows are your typical amazing wet n wild quality! The formula is amazing and the color pigmentation is great! :)

This blush is from wet n wild's color icon line. It is number 831E, Pearlescent Pink.

Here's a swatch of the Glassy Gloss in number 311A, Glass Confusion. It's a light pink sparkly color that looks absolutely gorgeous on the lips! I love the formula. It's not too sticky but it lasts on your lips. :)

The nail polish is from their Fast Dry line in the color 227C, Teal or No Teal. Cute for spring!

Wedding Makeup Do's and Don'ts

Hi everybody! It's already March and spring is quickly approaching. Now, I don't know about you guys but when I think spring, I think of weddings! Spring is a beautiful time for a wedding while all the flowers are in bloom. I don't know if any of you are planning on a wedding soon or not, but maybe you know someone who is and you can share these tips!

The Do's
~Do make sure that you take part in a makeup trial.
~Do get good rest! It's important that you get a good night's sleep before the big day!
~Do drink lots of water leading up to the big day!
~Do apply moisturizer to the skin.
~Do make sure you purchase a new mascara and try it out a few days before hand.

The Don'ts...
~Don't go to the tanning bed before the wedding! You don't want to take the risk of something going wrong. You want to have that effortless beauty about you...not look like an orange. A self-tanner could be a good alternative.
~Don't over do your eye makeup. Keep it clean and simple. It will put more focus on your eyes.
~Don't try out new eye makeup that you haven't used before. You want to be sure of all your products on the big day.
~Don't use any kind of product, especially eye shadow that has a shimmer or frosted finish. It will reflect in any pictures that are taken.
~Don't wear false eyelashes. You have to be totally sure that you are comfortable in them and that they won't fall off!!!

Now, I know this isn't a wedding dress, but I wanted to give you guys a preview of my prom dress. These tips could be used for prom and other special dress up events as well. Hope you enjoy! Here's my dress:)

Why have I been gone?

Hey everyone, I just wanted to write you a quick little note explaining why you haven't seen anything posted lately. My aunt has been very sick and in the hospital for quite some time. She passed away a couple of days ago and I will be going to the funeral in the morning. Expect to see new posts sometime next week. Thank you for continuing to follow and support me.

Lasting Finish Rimmel Lipstick by Kate Moss!

Hey everybody, I hope you're having a great weekend! We had some crazy weather here yesterday, a lot of tornadoes in the area, but thank goodness we are okay!

Today I saw an ad in a magazine advertising Kate Moss' new lipstick and when I went to ULTA I saw it and had to get it! It's in the shade 01, the color Kate was wearing in the advertisement. Here's what it looks like.

I took this picture myself. I'm really proud of how it turned out! :)

I was kind of scared to try this. I am a little intimidated by red lipstick, but I wanted to do a red lip look with my white prom dress, so I figured this would be a good shade to try. Turns out I really like it guys! It's totally matte, no shimmer at all. It's smooth and creamy, a total bombshell lipstick. Haha. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a great red lipstick. I got it at ULTA for $5.19, but I am sure you can find this at Wal-mart or any drugstore, maybe cheaper.

Lip Products Haul and Mini Reviews(:

Hey everybody! I hope you're having a great day! So, I went to Wal-mart yesterday with a gift card, and of course, I headed straight to the cosmetics section! Now, normally I probably would have spent it all on eye shadow (I am obsessed) but I went on a mission to expand my make-up collection in a different category. Lips! Here's what I got:)

I got 3 Maybelline Baby Lips!! First off, I'd just like to say I love these! They are extremely moisturizing and leave your lips feeling hydrated and soft. These will be on my forever repurchase list. Another perk is that they do give a sheer tint to your lips, especially the red one, Cherry Me. If you are a little afraid of red lipstick but you'd really like to give it a go, I'd advise you to pick up the Cherry Me Baby Lips! It's great for people who are wanting to ease their way in to wearing red! :)

Peach Kiss, Pink Punch, Cherry Me
Not only do they moisturize and give your lips color, but the smell is delicious! They actually smell just like the name! Not to mention they taste good too. :) Personally Cherry Me is my favorite. You can find these at almost any drugstore or Ulta, but at Wal-mart these babies are only $2.97! Imagine what a deal you could get with a coupon!

From left to right: Peach Kiss, Pink Punch, Cherry Me

I also picked up another Maybelline lipstick while there, along with one from Cover Girl. On the left is Maybelline's Color Sensational Lipstick in #720, Pearly Pink. On the right is a Cover Girl Continuous Color Lipstick in #505, Iceblue Pink.

I love the pearly finish on the Maybelline. I adore frosty pink lipsticks:) The Cover Girl one is somewhat moisturizing..but doesn't come close to beating those Baby Lips;) But I did need a bluish pink lipstick in my collection, so if you are looking for one, this may be a good option for you. Both of these are around 5 dollars at Wal-mart.

Left, Pearly Pink. Right, Iceblue Pink

L'oreal Paris: Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer Mini Blog

Hey everyone! I'm really excited to tell you about this one. The other day I got this coupon in the mail for $2.00 off Loreal's new Lumi Light Infusing Primer. The best part, it came with a sample! I have only tried it once, given that the sample was only enough for one use, but that's all it took for me. I love it!! It really does give your face a beautiful glow! It works well as a primer and helps make-up last quite a bit longer. I will definitely be using the coupon to buy the full sized version soon. I can't wait. Where ever you get it, it should be around 10-12 dollars. Have a great day guys!

Sorry for it being sideways, I couldn't turn it for some reason! Grrr. >:[

New From Wet n' Wild!

So I went to Wal-greens a couple weeks ago and was excited to see a display for new products from Wet n' Wild! I picked up one of their new Megashield Lipsticks in "Pink Champagne" and a bronzer in the shade "Reserve Your Cabana."

First off, I LOVE this bronzer! It comes in 3 different shades (Reserve Your Cabana being the lightest). I actually picked this one specificly because I didn't have a light bronzer such as this one, and it looked like it could be used as a great highlight...and it can! It has the slightest shimmer in it, but nothing that is going to make your face look sparkly. The packaging is a little big, but that just means more bang for your buck at only $3.99! Hands down, I am very impressed with this product, and it even has pushed it's way to the top of my favorites list. Unfortunately for me, I've been clumsy with this arm brace lately and I dropped mine pretty hard. The powder broke into a million pieces. :/ What stayed in the compact is still usable though, I just have to tap my brush...kind of like mineral powder. Oh well. It's still great.

Now, on to the lipstick. I like the shade that I picked and I love the fact that it has SPF 15 in it. It is average as far as staying power, but the one major downfall I see with this is the packaging. I feel like it's a little cheap and of poor quality. Mine makes this squeaking sound when I turn up the lipstick. Also, the cap isn't very tightly fitting. If you could depot this, I wouldn't have any complaints at all. It's only $2.99, which is still a pretty good deal. Mine came with an instant $1.00 off coupon making it $1.99, which is even better.

Computer Problems and a Sprained Hand...

Hi everyone, I know it's been a long while since my last post and I want to apologize. First, my old laptop was having issues so it took me about a week to buy a new one. Then I fell and severely sprained my hand at school! I still have a brace on it, so I am having trouble typing. Ugh. :/ Anyway, I will be adding a new review on some new Wet N' Wild products soon! Stay tuned! :)

About Me :)

Hey everybody! I hope you're having a great day! As a fan of other beauty blogs, I always find myself wanting to be able to look into the lives of that person. See a little "behind the scenes" if you will. I find it interesting when the author shares info about themselves and pictures from their life. It makes me feel like I get to know them a little better. So today, that's what I am going to do for you guys! The little "About Me" section just isn't enough.

I have a 4 year old Yorkie. Her name is Sophie.
My name is Taylor Nicole Rogers and I am 16 years old. I live in the wonderful state of Kentucky, which by the way, isn't what everyone thinks it is. No, we don't run around barefoot, but we actually have a lot to offer. This is the only place in the world where corvettes are made and without us, noble characters such as Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands, and Mort Rainey would have never been born. That's right. Johnny Depp was born in this state...and I am a HUGE fan! I'm obsessed with pirates(:

I am kind of a shy person. I can get along with people, I just have a hard time getting to know them. I used to feel unstably insecure about myself all the time. Until I discovered my secret weapon and new passion for life. Make-up. At this point, I have to give a shout out and a very big THANK YOU to my beautiful friend Cassie from Alaska. Her moving here was a huge event in my life and is the reason that I am on the path of pursuing my Cosmetology License after high school. I owe you so much girl!

Cassie and I(:

I'm just an average person like anyone else. I have really big dreams that I hope will one day come true with hard work and determination. I know that I can do anything I set my mind to and no one or no thing will stop me from being happy. I get a lot of discrimination from people, especially friends and teachers for wanting to pursue a beauty career. They say I'm too "smart" for it, but I don't care. This is my life and what makes me happy. And from here on out, I'm just going to be me.

Stay beautiful. Inside and out. <3
xxooxx, Taylor.

A Maybelline Hit and Miss Product

Hey everybody, I hope you're having a great day! How many of you are mascara junkies like me? I have a whole drawer full of mascara and I have this obsession with trying to find the perfect one. I recently fell in love with Maybelline's Falsies Flared Mascara. I loved it so much that I re-purchased! When I got home though I realized that I picked up the waterproof kind instead of the regular mascara. Normally this isn't a big deal, except that I feel that compared to the awesome regular version...the waterproof doesn't quite do the job for me.
Waterproof Version
As you can see, the waterproof tube is marked with the blue color instead of the silver on the original packaging. The waterproof formula seems really sticky and gooey. It makes my lashes an icky mess. It has a lot of clumping and makes my lashes stick together. EW! It's also very painful trying to remove it. I know it's waterproof, but even after sleeping over night, scrubbing with a wash rag, AND using make-up remover, it's still extremely hard to remove. After two days of wearing in a row, I felt like I had no lashes left from scrubbing. It was awful.

Regular Maybelline Falsies Mascara

Now as for the regular version, I LOVE IT. It's my favorite and most often used mascara. It doesn't clump and there is not fall out. It dries quickly and gives my lashes nice length and volume. It separates them well too. Many people ask if I am wearing false lashes and I always say nope! Just Falsies Mascara! :) Here is a pic from my new years look where I am wearing the Falsies Mascara and nothing else!

Products I Regret Buying #1

Hey everybody! Have you ever bought a product that you just didn't like? Or maybe you were even extremely disappointed in it? Yeah, well today, that's me! There haven't been a lot of products that I have just absolutely HATED so far, until now! I am really disappointed in Cover Girl. Their Tru Blend Foundation has some really big downfalls...

When I saw this at Target I was like...Oh. It has a pump!! I have been looking for a good foundation with a pump, and since I really like Cover Girl's "Clean" Liquid Foundation, I decided to give this one a try. But trust me guys, the packaging means nothing if the foundation is unusable.

PROS:
~Pump

CONS:
~ Hardly any coverage! Must build up a lot!
~ Bumps and redness still shows through
~ I wore this for only 2 days and it made me have a MAJOR
breakout! My poor cheeks are covered in blemishes. Not
    normal for me at all.
~ $3.00 more than my Cover Girl "Clean" Foundation that
actually works for me and DOESN'T break me out!!!

As you can see, I am NOT happy with this product. I hate wasting money on things, and this is a huge loss for me. That is why I decided to share this with you guys. This foundation may work for you, because we are all different, but if you are fair skinned like me, I wouldn't buy it. Save your money and your skin! :)

Mini Maybelline Haul!

Hey everybody! So today I went to Target and picked up just a couple of items from Maybelline. They have come out with a bunch of new products that I've really wanted to try, so today I purchased the two that intrigued me the most. First, the Dream Bouncy Blush (it really is bouncy!! It feels like play-dough. :D ) and the new 24 Hour Color Tattoo eye shadow.

Dream Bouncy Blush is in shade # 40, Pink Plum.
Eyeshadow is in # 25, Bad to the Bronze.

Swatch of the Color Tattoo eye shadow. I'm very pleased!
I haven't actually gotten to wear the eye shadow yet, but I LOVE the bouncy blush. I definitely recommend it. I found it at my Target for $6.99. The eye shadow was $5.99. I looked for these both at Wal-mart and couldn't find either, just saying. Have a great day!! :)
