About Me :)

Hey everybody! I hope you're having a great day! As a fan of other beauty blogs, I always find myself wanting to be able to look into the lives of that person. See a little "behind the scenes" if you will. I find it interesting when the author shares info about themselves and pictures from their life. It makes me feel like I get to know them a little better. So today, that's what I am going to do for you guys! The little "About Me" section just isn't enough.

I have a 4 year old Yorkie. Her name is Sophie.
My name is Taylor Nicole Rogers and I am 16 years old. I live in the wonderful state of Kentucky, which by the way, isn't what everyone thinks it is. No, we don't run around barefoot, but we actually have a lot to offer. This is the only place in the world where corvettes are made and without us, noble characters such as Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands, and Mort Rainey would have never been born. That's right. Johnny Depp was born in this state...and I am a HUGE fan! I'm obsessed with pirates(:

I am kind of a shy person. I can get along with people, I just have a hard time getting to know them. I used to feel unstably insecure about myself all the time. Until I discovered my secret weapon and new passion for life. Make-up. At this point, I have to give a shout out and a very big THANK YOU to my beautiful friend Cassie from Alaska. Her moving here was a huge event in my life and is the reason that I am on the path of pursuing my Cosmetology License after high school. I owe you so much girl!

Cassie and I(:

I'm just an average person like anyone else. I have really big dreams that I hope will one day come true with hard work and determination. I know that I can do anything I set my mind to and no one or no thing will stop me from being happy. I get a lot of discrimination from people, especially friends and teachers for wanting to pursue a beauty career. They say I'm too "smart" for it, but I don't care. This is my life and what makes me happy. And from here on out, I'm just going to be me.

Stay beautiful. Inside and out. <3
xxooxx, Taylor.

A Maybelline Hit and Miss Product

Hey everybody, I hope you're having a great day! How many of you are mascara junkies like me? I have a whole drawer full of mascara and I have this obsession with trying to find the perfect one. I recently fell in love with Maybelline's Falsies Flared Mascara. I loved it so much that I re-purchased! When I got home though I realized that I picked up the waterproof kind instead of the regular mascara. Normally this isn't a big deal, except that I feel that compared to the awesome regular version...the waterproof doesn't quite do the job for me.
Waterproof Version
As you can see, the waterproof tube is marked with the blue color instead of the silver on the original packaging. The waterproof formula seems really sticky and gooey. It makes my lashes an icky mess. It has a lot of clumping and makes my lashes stick together. EW! It's also very painful trying to remove it. I know it's waterproof, but even after sleeping over night, scrubbing with a wash rag, AND using make-up remover, it's still extremely hard to remove. After two days of wearing in a row, I felt like I had no lashes left from scrubbing. It was awful.

Regular Maybelline Falsies Mascara

Now as for the regular version, I LOVE IT. It's my favorite and most often used mascara. It doesn't clump and there is not fall out. It dries quickly and gives my lashes nice length and volume. It separates them well too. Many people ask if I am wearing false lashes and I always say nope! Just Falsies Mascara! :) Here is a pic from my new years look where I am wearing the Falsies Mascara and nothing else!

Products I Regret Buying #1

Hey everybody! Have you ever bought a product that you just didn't like? Or maybe you were even extremely disappointed in it? Yeah, well today, that's me! There haven't been a lot of products that I have just absolutely HATED so far, until now! I am really disappointed in Cover Girl. Their Tru Blend Foundation has some really big downfalls...

When I saw this at Target I was like...Oh. It has a pump!! I have been looking for a good foundation with a pump, and since I really like Cover Girl's "Clean" Liquid Foundation, I decided to give this one a try. But trust me guys, the packaging means nothing if the foundation is unusable.

PROS:
~Pump

CONS:
~ Hardly any coverage! Must build up a lot!
~ Bumps and redness still shows through
~ I wore this for only 2 days and it made me have a MAJOR
breakout! My poor cheeks are covered in blemishes. Not
    normal for me at all.
~ $3.00 more than my Cover Girl "Clean" Foundation that
actually works for me and DOESN'T break me out!!!

As you can see, I am NOT happy with this product. I hate wasting money on things, and this is a huge loss for me. That is why I decided to share this with you guys. This foundation may work for you, because we are all different, but if you are fair skinned like me, I wouldn't buy it. Save your money and your skin! :)

Mini Maybelline Haul!

Hey everybody! So today I went to Target and picked up just a couple of items from Maybelline. They have come out with a bunch of new products that I've really wanted to try, so today I purchased the two that intrigued me the most. First, the Dream Bouncy Blush (it really is bouncy!! It feels like play-dough. :D ) and the new 24 Hour Color Tattoo eye shadow.

Dream Bouncy Blush is in shade # 40, Pink Plum.
Eyeshadow is in # 25, Bad to the Bronze.

Swatch of the Color Tattoo eye shadow. I'm very pleased!
I haven't actually gotten to wear the eye shadow yet, but I LOVE the bouncy blush. I definitely recommend it. I found it at my Target for $6.99. The eye shadow was $5.99. I looked for these both at Wal-mart and couldn't find either, just saying. Have a great day!! :)
