“I think happiness is what makes you pretty. Period. Happy people are beautiful. They become like a mirror and they reflect that happiness.”

My Halloween Costume(:

Hey everyone! What are you gonna be for Halloween? Well, if you can't already tell, I'm going to be a gypsy this year! (Although many tell me I could pull off this look as a pirate).

If you wanna see how I got this look, there is a video at the bottom here that you can watch. It's the same one I watched to learn how to do mine! For my eyeshadows I used my new 88 Ultra Shimmer Palette from Coastal Scents! Big thanks to Gina! I love it:)

Birthday Wish List! (:

Heyy everybody! As my birthday approaches closer and closer I can't help but think about some things I've really been wanting! I decided to share with you some of the things that have caught my eye recently, and that I am really wanting to try out. So, here ya go! :D (These are not listed in any particular order.)

First up, is CoverGirl and Olay's Simply Ageless Eye Concealer. I've heard some great things about it, from various different age groups of women. I think if I got one, I would pick out the "Light" shade. My skin if pretty fair.

Next up, CRACKLE nail polish of course!!! I've seen soooo many people wearing this and it looks awesome! I really really want some of my own, but just haven't gotten around to getting any. Hopefully soon(:

Ok, so I have heard absolutely amazingggg things about Maybelline's Dream Mousse Blush! I see it in the store all the time, and just haven't actually taken it home yet, but I think I really wanna try it out in the shade "Peach Satin". It looks good for lighter skin tones like mine.

Sonia Kashuk brushes! I keep seeing the sample brushes at Target and they are sooo amazing! All of them are sooo soft and great quality. I want them! Especially the face brush (:

If anyone knows me, they know that I am obsessed with gel and cream eyeliners! L'Oreal's HIP liners come in so many awesome colors! Look how pretty that blue one is. I would love to this product in every color and give 'em a try. :)

This is BH Cosmetic's 120 4th Edition Eye Shadow Palette. This is their newest addition, but they still sell their older ones as well. The color's in the 4th edition just seemed to appeal to me more though. Incase you guys haven't heard of BH Cosmetics, just google the name. It's a great online store and they have tons of different eyeshadow palettes:)

And last but definitely not least (this is actually my probably most wanted item), the Urban Decay NAKED palette. Just look at it...you know you want one too. I look at them every time I stop in ULTA. <333

Blue Fairy Eyes!

Hey Everybody! How many of you love the color blue? It actually happens to be my favorite, so today I decided to go for a blue look that would really make my eyes pop! After I was finished, I realized that it reminded me of a fairy look! Haha. So, I decided to post some pictures, considering some of you may be considering a fairy costume for Halloween coming up here soon!

For this look, I used my Cover Girl "Tropical Fusion" eye shadow quad. You can find these at any drugstore or discount store for around 5 dollars. I started off by putting the green shade all over my lid. Next, I drew a line diagonally from the outer corner of my eye, up to where my eyebrow should end, and filled in my outer V triangle, taking part of it into the crease, then blended it out. For the browbone color, I used the light yellow in the quad.

Underneath my eye, I took the darkest blue and put it on my lower lash line, half way in. Then, I took the green and blended it with the dark blue, all the way over to the inner corner of my eye.

For eyeliner, I used my Physician's Formula Eyeliner in "Blue" that comes in the Eyeliner Trio for Blue Eyes. Just add your favorite mascara and this look should be set! Also, I forgot to mention that as a base, I did add the NYX jumbo eye pencil in "Cottage Cheese" under neath the shadow. This gave them a more metallic look that you see in these pictures. You can where the look without it, but it may not have as much sparkle or shine. :)

Leopard Print Eyes!

Heyyy peoples! All I did for this was just use a black eyeliner pencil to draw on the print! It's really easy if you want to try it. Just have a leopard pattern near by to look at as a reference. It's basically just making little C's and O's. Have fun!

Sorry for the messy eyeliner...I was in a rush. It's definitely not even or straight. Oh well. :/

Rimmel Stir It Up Cream Eye Shadows!

So, I went to Walgreens today, and these caught my eye. Not only was it the pretty sparkles and interesting colors, but the prices had been slashed from $7.00 to just $3.59 each! How can you possibly pass up that deal? I haven't tried them out yet, but I will let you know what I think in the future. For now, here's just a preview of these pretty eye shadows by Rimmel London (:

From Left to Right:
#500 "As If", #700 "Wassup?", #400 "Out of the Blue"

Here is a close up of "Out of the Blue". Isn't it pretty?! I love all sparkly stuff. (:

I can't wait to try these out! If any of you have them, please feel free to send me a message or comment your opinion on them. Thanks! Mwah! <3

October Favorites!

I don't know about you guys, but when I think of October, I think of tons of pretty colors like the changing leaves of the trees. For that reason, I like to try to incorporate some warm, fall colors into my makeup routine, such as oranges, browns, and golds. Here are some of my October favorites!

Wet N' Wild  8 Shadow Palette in "Comfort Zone" (I did a look with this in a post below. Check it out!)

On the left, is one of  Loreal Paris' H.I.P. Eye Shadow Duos in "Charged".  On the right,  is  a baked Eye Shadow by Hard Candy in the shade "Lunar Eclipse."

This is one of NYX Eye Shadow Trios. From left to right the colors are: Golden, Rust, and Walnut Bronze.
(P.S. NYX's "Rust" is an exact dupe for Mac's "Cranberry"!! =] )

I love love LOVE this Contouring Blush and Bronzer by E.L.F.! I use it often..as you can tel l. Haha (:

This lipstick is amazinggg for fall! It's a beautiful brownish gold color.  The shade is "Fossil" by Lancome.

I just got the Falsies Mascara by Maybelline and I immediately fell in love with it! As of right now, it will be the only mascara I use! Also in this pic, is a great eyeliner for fall! It's a Wet N' Wild Color Icon pencil in "copper"

So I just picked up this mousse by TRESemme a couple days ago and it works great!  It gives your hair great body and climate control for those harsh fall/winter days!

New Poll!

Hey guys! I have a new poll question at the bottom of the page. "What is your favorite drugstore make-up brand?" Thanks for voting! :)

I'm back!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while...things have been kinda stressful with my AP classes this week. I will be posting things as soon as I can! Just wanted to let you know that I haven't disappeared. Keep checking back! Thanks(:

NYC's Ultra Moist Lipwear

Ok guys, this is a GREAT product for only 99 cents! At my local Wal-Mart, it's even just .93. My favorite shade is a frosty pink called "Chiffon." I use it religiously! Haha. Even though it sounds weird, my favorite look I did with this is an army girl kinda thing. Pair this shade with an army green shirt and some aviator sunglasses and your set. ;)

I found this picture from over the summer. It's not that great, it was taken in a mirror, but it's the exact look I'm talking about! :)

Gypsy Halloween Makeup Idea!

Hey everybody! As we all know Halloween (one of my favorite holidays) is coming up! My birthday just so happens to be a week after Halloween and we are going for a gypsy/carnival style theme for my party, so I decided to share my gypsy look with you! Below are some pics! I will be back soon to post how I did my make-up and the products used if you are interested. :)

FACE:
Ok, so to start off, I put on my e.l.f. tinted moisturizer (in the shade Nude) and then dusted my entire face with NYC's Bronzing Face Powder in 720A Sunny. Next, I contoured with the bronzer in Elf's Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder compact and used the blush on the apples of my cheeks as well.

EYES:
For the eyes, first I used the deepest gold in my Revlon creme shadow palette in "Precious Metals" as a base.   My lid, crease, and brow bone color all came from the same NYX eye shadow trio. "Golden" went on the lid, "Rust" (also a dupe for MAC's "Cranberry") went into the crease and also was used in the outer V, and "Walnut Bronze" went underneath the eyebrow on the brow bone. Next, I took my NYX Glitter Cream Palette in "Bronze Goddess" and applied the 4th shade to the right on my lid over "Golden." (Be careful not to get the glitter in the crease! Keep it on the lid only or you will have some major creasing! And we don't want that. Eew.) For liner, I just put ULTA's basic automatic eyeliner in black/brown on the waterline and upper lash line. For mascara, I used Rimmel's Glam Eyes Mascara in Black. You can choose to define your brows if you want. A cheap way is NYC's Kohl Brow Pencils. I believe they are about 99 cents at Wal-Mart.

LIPS:
I simply just put on a coat of Rimmel's Stay Glossy Lip Gloss in Seductive. Easy enough right? Haha :)

COSTUME:
My costume just came from a local Halloween Boutique but you can make your own! You can use almost any piece of fabric for a head wrap. Just remember to wear lots and lots of bangles! :)

Eye Shadow Basics

Hey everybody, I just had someone ask me about the basics of eye shadow and how to apply it. If you look at the two pictures below, it may help you understand a little bit more of the terminology I'm using. So, let's get started!

First, you may want to apply some kind of a base like an eye primer or a cream shadow (NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils are great for this) just to keep your eye shadow from creasing (eeew!) and to make the color pop more! ELF, which can be found at Target has a pretty good eye primer for just a buck if you're on a budget.

Ok, now that you've got your base, my basic eye shadow routine consists of 3 regions: the lid, crease, and browbone (or highlight.) You can pick just about any color you want for your lids really, but whatever color you choose, I typically pick a darker shade to put in my crease. As for the browbone color (right under your eyebrow), most people typically use a lighter color in order to highlight the brow and make your eyebrows look higher and more arched. Also, just a tip. You can apply a lighter, shimmery color right in your tear duct area to create a more awake look for those draggy days. Hope this helps. <3 =]

If you find yourself struggling with picking colors that coordinate, drugstore palettes are great for beginners because they have a lot of quads, trios, or even duos that have each color labeled as to where they go and how they look best on the eye. *wink wink* :)

That's just basic eye shadow application, but remember, feel free to break the rules! Make-up is meant to be fun and creative (at least to me anyway!) Experiment, play around with color, and create a look that makes you feel confident. That's the most important thing. <3

Wet N' Wild Eye Trios

So I absolutely love love love these palettes! If you are a fan of drug store palettes, the Wet N' Wild Eyeshadow Trios are definitely something to look into! Instead of going back for more shadow multiple times, you just barely tap your brush into these and you're set! Another thing I love about these shadows is that they are very pigmented! I would definitely recommend these to anyone that's into colorful eye looks. :) But even if you are a neutrals fan, they have a great natural palette called "Walking On Eggshells." I use that one on a weekly basis, I love it so much! You can find these at any Walgreens store and in some cases Wal-Mart. If you have an ULTA near you, they carry them. Pick one up for only 2.99! You are definitely getting bang for your buck on these. Enjoy! =]

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils!

I absolutely LOVE these pencils by NYX! If you haven't gotten a chance to try them out, or you saw them at the store but wasn't sure about them, go ahead and pick some up! They make GREAT eyeshadow bases but still can be used just as regular eyeshadow or even a liner if you really wanted. I use mine mostly as a base and it works really well. I definitely recommend this product, especially in cottage cheese, milk, and strawberry milk! You can find them online at the NYX website or if you have an ULTA they sell them there as well. Just look around at different places, some will have them cheaper than others. :)

Just Getting Started...

Good morning everyone! I know I am just getting started on my blog so bare with me. I'm new to this stuff. If you have any ideas or suggestions of something you'd like to see on here, let me know! It'd be a great help. Thanks! :)
